MÜNZING Micro Technologies GmbH (MMT) is located in the Zeitz Chemical and Industrial Park, approx 40 km south of the city of Leipzig. The site is specialized in the production of all kinds and grades of micronized waxes, sold under MÜNZING´s CERETAN® brand.

In order to provide our customers with a full range of micronized wax products covering application-specific requirements, MMT operates two different types of micronization equipment: spray towers for molten liquid waxes to generate our unique, spherical particle shape micronized wax products, and air-jet mills for conventional (non-spherical particle shape) micronized wax grades. The site is equipped with mixing and packaging units, QC lab, and warehouses. Due to continuous micronization processes, MMT is operated 24/7 with about 60 employees.

Also located in Elsteraue is the brand new production facility of MÜNZING Emulsions-Chemie GmbH (MEC), which was ceremonially inaugurated in August 2022. By expanding our capacities in Elsteraue, we are now able to produce more than 10,000 tons of water-based wax emulsions and special additives such as powder defoamers per year. These products are mainly used in the construction industry for interior and exterior paints, plasters and stucco.

The plant is optimized for low energy consumption and features a combined heat and power plant with micro gas turbines and a sophisticated energy recovery system that uses 50% less energy than a conventional plant.
