Silicate paints are known for their extremely durable, breathable finish on mineral surfaces. They are enjoying more widespread interest in today's sustainability-focused setting because they are naturally water-based, they are coalescent- and VOC-free, and their high pH eliminates the need for biocide. This presentation outlines the development and qualification of a new alkali-stable, high molecular weight dispersant optimized for dispersing efficiency across pigment types in both silicate and non-silicate paint formulations.
