METOLAT® P 588 DE

METOLAT® P 588 DE is a blend of polyglycol ester with an inorganic carrier, nonionic. The product is an APEO free wetting agent in powder form. It is added to dry blends, which are dissolved in water before application. The addition of METOLAT® P 588 DE results in an accelerated wetting of all solid particles, including sand, cement and fibres. This results in a more homogeneous mixture of the mass and a more uniform aspect of the surface after drying. In pigmented systems METOLAT® P 588 DE leads to a faster wetting of the pigment surface and prevents reagglomeration. Colour strength is increased and the pigment can be used more efficiently. METOLAT® P 588 DE improves the homogeneous distribution of the pigments and prevents their floading to the surface. In powder paints the use of METOLAT® P 588 DE prevents rub-out effects.
